Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc. this week announced that two new restaurants, Belux Coffee and Azotea Cantina, will join Southern Post. The mixed-use development is set to break ground in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Belux Coffee was founded in 2015 in Cumming and has a coffee shop in Alpharetta, according to its website. Azotea Cantina is a new Mexico City-inspired taqueria with an outpost in Atlantic Station.
The 260,000 square-foot project, wholly owned by Armada Hoffler, is in historic downtown Roswell and scheduled for initial delivery in summer 2023.
Plans for the project include 128 apartment units (set to begin preleasing in early-2023), nine townhomes, 95,000 square feet of creative loft office space, 40,000 square feet of pedestrian-friendly retail, and structured parking.
“The project’s architecture will incorporate elements that have been used throughout Roswell’s historic district, with the addition of modern components,” according to a press release. Estimated development and construction costs for the project are expected to total approximately $110 million.
“We are excited to move forward with this transformative project in the city of Roswell,” Louis Haddad, president and CEO of Armada Hoffler Properties, said. “Southern Post will be a true mixed-use development on an intimate scale that brings together the synergies of the urban lifestyle and a close-knit community.”
Armada Hoffler Construction Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, will serve as the general contractor for this project.
